Tyl Regor's custom axe and shield are how he likes to eliminate 'frustrations'.

The Ack & Brunt is an axe & shield set used by Tyl Regor that boasts a high critical hit chance in exchange for a low attack speed. It also has the unique ability to absorb elemental attacks on block to empower the weapon's next attack.

Notes[]

  • Blocking elemental damage attacks creates a stack that increases the damage of the next attack by 17.5% stacks. The effect can stack up to 4 times before being consumed, increasing the damage up to 70%.
  • The damage bonus increases additively with elemental mods, which can also combine with elemental mods from the weapon to became a combined elements. For example, if your Ack & Brunt is modded with DmgElectricitySmall64 Electricity damage (e.g. Mod TT 20px Shocking Touch), blocking DmgFireSmall64 Heat damage from a Flameblade's TwinBasolk Twin Basolk will combine it into DmgRadiationSmall64 Radiation damage on the next attack.
  • Elemental damage taken by nearby allies via Mod TT 20px Electromagnetic Shielding can be converted to stacks.

Incarnon Genesis[]

Evolution[]

  • Installing the Ack & Brunt Incarnon Genesis requires 20 PathosClamp Pathos Clamps, 70 Dracroot Dracroots, and 300 ArietteScale Ariette Scales.
  • When installed, the first Evolution tier is unlocked. The following Evolution tiers, their unlock requirements and related perks are shown below;

Evolution I[]

  • Reach 6x Combo and then Heavy Attack to activate Incarnon Form.
  • Incarnon Form sends forth a spectral axe during aerial and slide attacks.
    • Spectral axes deal 298/149 damage of 20% DmgImpactSmall64 Impact, 10% DmgPunctureSmall64 Puncture, 70% DmgSlashSmall64 Slash and explode dealing 606/303 DmgFireSmall64 Heat and proccing DmgImpactSmall64 Impact in a 5m radius with 50% falloff. It has ~14% base Critical Chance, 2.0x Critical Multiplier, and ~34% base Status Chance that is affected by the 4th evolution.
      • Lateral slam attack is replaced by the axe throw, reducing mobility. Slam attacks can only be performed directly downwards while Incarnon is active.
      • Spectral axe hits do not add to the melee combo counter.
      • Direct hits of spectral axes and explosions are affected by universal base damage sources like Mod TT 20px Vigorous Swap, Mod TT 20px Holster Amp, ArcaneArachne Arcane Arachne, VexArmor130xWhite Vex Armor and AmpIcon Amp.
      • Direct hits of spectral axes are affected by Mod TT 20px Condition Overload, while the explosions are not.
    • +100% Melee Damage
    • +20% Sprint Speed
    • +20% Bullet Jump

Evolution II[]

Unlock Challenge: Finish a solo mission with this weapon equipped.

  • Perk 1: Templar's Wrath:
    • Increase Damage by +150.
    • With Armor Over 450: +70% Heavy Attack Efficiency.
  • Perk 2: Shieldmaiden's Rush:
    • Increase Damage by +150.
    • On Shield Break: +300% Combo Count Chance while Blocking for 11 seconds.

Evolution III[]

Unlock Challenge: Activate Incarnon form 6 times in a mission.

Evolution IV[]

Unlock Challenge: Reach 10x combo 10 times.

  • Perk 1: Rogue Readiness:
    • On Kill: 50% chance for Primary and Secondary weapons to instantly reload.
  • Perk 2: Absolute Valor:
    • Increase Critical Chance by +17%.
  • Perk 3: Versatile Creed:
    • Increase Critical Chance by +9%.
    • Increase Status Chance by +9%.

Tips[]

  • Mod TT 20px Final Harbinger can offset the Ack & Brunt's low attack speed with its quick combos.
  • Using the Ack & Brunt with Mod TT 20px Final Harbinger, Mod TT 20px Blood Rush and/or Gladiator Mods allows players to quickly gather hits for the Combo Counter, rapidly boosting the Ack & Brunt's critical chance.
  • Absorbing enemy attacks allows players to almost double the amount of damage they can deal.
    • This is useful when focusing on taking down heavy units in a crowd.
    • Do note however that stacks are expended if an enemy melee attack is parried.
  • (Corrupted) Bombard rockets can add up to two stacks of elemental damage, allowing players to collect stacks faster.

Trivia[]

  • This is the weapon of choice for Tyl Regor following Update 17.0 (2015-07-31), though instead of holding the weapon, Tyl Regor is able to attach the axe and shield to the ends of his cybernetic limbs in place of his Knux Knux hands. Regor, however, explicitly refers to Ack as a gavel.
  • Tyl Regor uses a different design for the shield, as it is normally part of his helmet/headdress (or perhaps vice-versa). The Tenno version presumably adapts the shield to collapse so that it does not take up as much room when stowed.
  • The Grineer text on the inner part of the shield translates to "MEAT PROTECTION".

Bugs[]

  • When in it's Incarnon form, the shield will never leave the players hand during stances that normally throw the shield.
