Ash is great for players looking for a more stealthy approach to combat. Lethal abilities are complemented by powers of distraction.

Ash is a fast, maneuverable Warframe that possesses a high rate of survivability in the field. Fleet movement complements lethal tools of assassination, making Ash a testament to why people once feared the mere mention of ninja in the night.

  • Staggers enemies for 1 second within a radius of 10 meters. Makes Ash completely untargetable by enemies for 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 seconds.

  • Ash can not be knocked down or staggered during the cast animation, but can be during Smoke Screen.
  • Can only be used on the ground.
  • Your sentinel will also become untargetable by enemies.
  • Does not make you invincible to laser barriers, but you will not alert security cameras.

  • Hits up to 7 / 9 / 12 / 15 enemies one at a time within a 20 meter radius of your initial target for 750 / 1000 / 1500 / 2000 Finisher damage per enemy.
    • Damage is unaffected by armor, and Ancient Healers are dealt 100% extra damage.
    • Number of enemies is not affected by Power Strength, but damage is affected.
  • Targets are selected at the moment of casting, and marked with a red tint that is clearly visible to all players. Ash will not attack any enemies which lack this marker, and will end the ability once all marked targets are dead.
  • Ash becomes invulnerable for the duration, and is returned to the original cast location once the ability ends.
  • Can be used in the air.
  • Blade Storm will not go beyond the map tile of the initial target.
  • Blade Storm counts towards your Melee Combo Counter while your Melee weapon is equipped.

Bugs

  • On certain unspecific occasions Ash will become invulnerable after using Blade Storm. It should also be noted that in void missions blade storm lags commonly.
  • Very rarely, after using Blade Storm, Ash will float and become invincible. He is unable to jump or go down, or use weapons. Pressing E will teleport to a random enemy and perform a purely aesthetic Blade Storm attack which does no damage. This appears to occur when Blade Storm's initial target is killed before Blade Storm begins.

  • Carrier's vacuum will collect items while doing this ability.
  • Blade Storm can be used to start and chain long Melee Combo chains to gain additional bonus Melee damage.

  • Maximized Power Duration has no positive effect on this ability.
    • Reduces the initial targeting range to 17 meters and reduces the AoE radius to 6.8 meters.
    • Note: this can actually be a tactical benefit: allows you to execute precision strikes onto small groups of targets or bosses without wasting time attacking far off / weak targets.
  • Maximized Power Efficiency reduces the cost to 25 energy.
    • Has no negative effect on this ability.
  • Maximized Power Range increases the AoE radius to 47 meters. Targeting range cannot be increased past the game-wide targeting limit of 50 meters.
    • Damage is reduced to 800 per target.
  • Maximized Power Strength increases the damage to 4,580 per target.
    • Cost is increased to 155 energy.

  • Shuriken can be used to break the glass on Corpus missions, activating a lockdown. Trapped enemies inside the room are slowly damaged or even killed if they are weak enough.
  • Shuriken will often try to seek enemies that you've run past, making it/both miss the target you were trying to hit.
  • Blade Storm can be activated while zooming in with a ranged weapon. This can be used to more precisely pick targets. 
  • You are invincible while using Blade Storm. This can be used to give time to regenerate your shields.
  • Blade Storm can be used to pick up items that are very far away or in dangerous situations (an item surrounded by 5 enemies for example). This generally requires the Carrier sentinel's Vacuum skill for maximum effectiveness. Simply target an enemy near something you want to pick up and activate the ability. Since you return to your starting point you will return to your "safe spot" but will have picked up health orbs, energy orbs, and even mods.
  • Ash is a poor choice in Defense missions unless using a heavy hitting or heavy crit chance melee weapon, and even then consider using Ash for missions other than defense. He lacks a quick, high damage AoE ability that can decimate groups nearly instantaneously such as Volt's Overload, Rhino's Stomp, or Excalibur's Radial Javelin. Ash's only AoE, Blade Storm, is potentially time consuming and the cryopod/artifact could be destroyed before Blade Storm kills everyone in the area.
    • However, using Smoke Screen and then attacking with a melee weapon(preferably one that can strike multiple targets) can clear out a group faster than Blade Storm, if base damage is high enough, due to the bonus stealth damage.
  • Smoke Screen does not prevent damage from Orokin Lasers or AoE damage such as poison clouds and explosions.
