Desired by advanced players, Loki offers a variety of specialized reconfiguring abilities. The creativity of Loki's powers allows players to master the battlefield through manipulation.

Loki is a fragile but fast manipulator Warframe. He has little in the way of direct damage abilities, instead focusing on the arts of distraction, deception, sabotage, relocation and stealth. He is one of three starter options for new players.

  • His name is drawn from the Norse god Loki, who was generally seen as a mischievous, sly trickster. The Loki Warframe has abilities that further strengthen this connection, as Loki is able to turn invisible and create decoys of himself, amongst other abilities.

  • Creates a holographic decoy which lasts 7 / 15 / 20 / 25 seconds. Enemies will focus on the Decoy if it is deployed closer to them than Loki is, allowing Loki to deal heavy damage or escape an area without being targeted.
    • If enough damage is done to the Decoy it will disappear. Decoy life does not increase at higher levels or with Power Strength, making it very weak at high levels if not placed in cover.
  • Has a cast time of ~0.6 seconds.
  • If aimed at a ceiling or the sky, the decoy will appear directly below the aimed point, allowing it to be placed in higher platforms.
  • If placed in a position where enemies cannot reach:
    • Within a few seconds Infested enemies will swap their aggro to another target.
    • Grineer and Corpus enemies will keep trying to aim at the Decoy until it disappears even if they cannot see or hit it, making it extremely effective if placed in good cover against enemy fire.
  • Decoy has a tendency to fall through certain props on the map. This means a Decoy can be placed on top of something, for example: a pillar, and it will sometimes fall through it, being protected from within the prop.
  • Decoy is capable of inflicting a Puncture damage proc that reduces the damage of the target's attacks for a brief duration, and a Slash damage proc that deals a minuscule amount of damage of 1 per tick.
  • Grants minor Conclave rating of 1 at all levels.

  • You can use Decoy in conjunction with Switch Teleport to switch positions with your decoys, essentially allowing a freely-targetable teleportation to any point where you can place a Decoy (which functions like Nova's Worm Hole).
  • The hologram blocks lasers from laser barriers, allowing passage through when deployed directly on top of them (as they only emit from one side).
  • Decoy can be used as means to find or lure out hiding enemies.
    • The copy will only start firing its Lato if there is an enemy close enough to be attracted, but it will not stop firing once all affected enemies are dead. Keep this in mind when using Decoy to scout enemy locations.
  • Can also be used to open doors, which can be useful when the following area is full of Grineer or Corpus enemies, allowing the player to shoot them from a safer distance.

  • Turns Loki and his sentinel completely invisible to enemies for 5 / 7 / 9 / 12 seconds with only a shimmering mist visible to players. All sound effects are muffled and slightly muted for the invisible player. While invisible you and your sentinel are completely unable to be targeted by any enemy even if you are shooting or engaged in melee combat.
    • Sentinel will not shoot during this duration.
    • Area-of-effect abilities or enemy crossfire from an attempt to shoot a target that you are intercepting will still hit you. You are not invulnerable to damage, just untargetable.
  • Has a cast delay of 0.75 seconds and a cooldown between uses of 0.25 seconds.
  • Hides you from security cameras which prevents them from activating laser barriers.
  • Enables Stealth Damage Multipliers on all melee hits: 400% damage on all melee attacks. These attacks appear as yellow numbers.
  • As of Update 10, the laser traps of Captain Vor will no longer target players who are invisible, regardless of proximity.

  • Use as a way of reviving fallen players without having to worry about being downed yourself

  • Loki swaps positions with a target within 25 / 40 / 60 / 75 meters, whether it be friendly or enemy. If the target is an enemy it becomes confused for 1 second and will not attack.
  • Has a cast time of 0.5 seconds.
  • This ability is shared with the Grineer Commander, although his stun duration is double that of Loki's.

  • You can use Switch Teleport on enemies (including Bosses), teammates, or a decoy created by yourself (or any decoy created by a fellow Loki teammate).
  • Loki is also able to use Switch Teleport with Saryn's Molt ability.
  • You can easily move past a group of enemies by targeting the enemy furthest away, Switch teleporting, and then continuing to run.
  • Switch Teleport also works on downed allies, allowing the transportation of them to a safer area out of the way of enemies if necessary.

  • Loki releases a pulse of manipulative energy, depleting/jamming the ranged weapons of enemies within a 10 / 13 / 17 / 20 meter radius. Affected enemies are permanently unable to use their ranged weapons.
    • Enemies that can be disarmed, even if they have already been disarmed, are disoriented for 1 second (unaffected by Power Duration).
  • Has a cast time of 0.9 seconds and delay between uses of 0.9 seconds.
  • Deals 200 / 200 / 350 / 500 damage to Infested Chargers and knocks them down.
    • The Grustrag Three are treated as Infested Chargers by this ability, receiving the damage and knockdown.
  • Has no effect on other Infested, bosses or Desert Skates.
    • However, a few bosses are knocked down upon being hit with Radial Disarm.
    • Small Infested have their arms ripped out, which does not lower their damage whatsoever.
  • Permanently forces Corpus Ospreys to the ground and removes Leech Osprey / Mine Osprey abilities.
  • Permanently depletes Corpus Crewmens' guns, forcing them to melee with a Prova.
  • Permanently depletes the weapon systems on MOA, forcing them to melee with kicks.
  • Permanently jams Grineer firearms, forcing them to melee with a Prova.
  • Tenno in Conclave duels are affected as follows:
    • Drains all energy from the target. (There is currently a bug where the energy will sometimes not be drained from the target)
    • If the target has shields remaining then all shields are drained. If the target has no shields remaining then they take 200 / 200 / 350 / 500 damage.
    • Temporarily applies Ancient Disruptor's visual effect on the HUD.
    • Prevents the target from firing any ranged weapon for 1–2 seconds. (This does NOT affect Glaive or Kestrel because they count as a melee weapon.)
  • Does not affect targets in capture missions.

  • It is possible to Switch Teleport with your Decoy to shortcut around the map, get out of tough spots or access higher vantage points.
  • Due to the nature of his powers, mods such as Power Duration and Streamline can be extremely useful in extending the duration of powers (such as Decoy and Invisibility) and lowering their power cost.
  • Loki is the fastest Warframe by a very noticeable margin, and this allows him to move avoid or deal damage in battles extremely quickly.
  • Although he has weaker shields in general combat, the damage Loki deals while invisible is extremely high and his other abilities can manipulate entire crowds of enemies to make use of this effect.
  • Loki's Decoy can be placed in positions other players cannot get to, such as in between two closely packed crates. Because of this trait, the Decoy is effectively protected from most directions of fire. This helps in increasing the Decoy's life span while also potentially distracting an entire wave of enemies. Along with Decoy's high aggro priority towards enemies, Loki can make most Defense missions much easier to handle depending on the map and the location of the Decoy's placement.
  • Decoy with Switch Teleport can be used to get through Corpus laser doors, though its more cost effective to use the Decoy to block the beams, allowing yourself or your team through as well.
  • Switch Teleport can be useful to move your team mates to a better position or the extraction point. Also, you can switch with wounded allies, making it easier for someone to revive them.
  • Decoy is also great against Infested, as the Infested will crowd around the decoy.  It also helps to get rid of Runners due to the their nature.
  • Decoy can be used to great effect against Infested, especially because Infested maps often include pits.  Deploy the decoy at the bottom of a chasm, and the Infested will leap into the chasm after it, dying instantly.  This will, however, forfeit any loot.
  • Combining Invisibility with a Shotgun will allow you to get close and deliver devastating damage to unsuspecting foes.
  • Switch Teleport can also be used to effectively immobilize bosses, by getting into a tight spot then switching with them.
  • Be extremely careful using Loki in pitched combat. Loki is the least durable Warframe by a noticeable margin. If he is left without energy, he becomes incredibly easy to kill.
  • Radial Disarm is capable of removing any buff/debuff from a Leader (Fire/Cold animation is still there but does nothing, Energy/Health is not drained, other units are not given a buff.

Loki's Decoy PistolEdit

The Pistol used by Loki's Decoy power has the same skin as a regular Lato. It will "fire" like a regular lato in the direction of the nearest enemy to the decoy but will do no damage and will not shoot any projectile, It is hypothesized that the shooting animation is to emphasize the aggro effect of the decoy itself.

BugsEdit

  • When in a cell, excessive lag can cause a dying decoy to become a corpse before actual removal for its duration.
  • A set of videos is provided with a respected number that shows some of the bugs encountered with Loki:
  1. Decoy + position swap in a wall = Fall to nothing
  2. Decoy in extermination missions, will lower the enemy count by one when the decoy expires
  3. Decoy in defense missions, will stall the timer after all enemies have been defeated.
  4. There is also a "cannot be used in air" bug where the server thinks Loki is in the air even if he isn't.  Hitting the melee key will fix this.
