Psychic attacks make Nyx a dangerous foe. She reaches into enemy consciousness to provide crowd control and turn their attacks back on them. Such manipulation can turn the tide of battle.
This is Nyx, manipulator of minds.
On her own or with a group, Nyx can turn the tide of battle in her favor.
Scramble the enemy's psyche with her subliminal touch, turning friend into foe as chaos ensues. Manipulate the mind as Nyx to dominate their will, cripple their defenses, and reflect their collective strikes with her psychic prowess. Nyx infiltrated the enemy's ranks in Update 6.0 (2013-01-29).
Acquisition
Nyx's main blueprint can be purchased from the Market. Nyx's component blueprints can be obtained from defeating Phorid on assassination missions that appear during an InfestedInvasion.
Alternatively, upon completion of The Duviri Paradox, Nyx's main and component blueprints can be earned from The Circuit. By selecting her on the rotating week she is available, players can earn her blueprints after reaching Tier 2 (Neuroptics), 5 (Chassis), 8 (Systems), and 10 (Main) rewards.

Trivia
Nyx is the name of the Greek goddess of the night, the offspring of chaos.
During development, Nyx originally went by the name of "Jade".
Apart from the helmet and gender, Nyx's overall design is almost identical to Excalibur. This was the result of a scrapped attempt to create alternative genders to the Warframes during the pre-alpha stages of the game.
This prototype Nyx was practically identical to Excalibur, with the only major difference being the body shape. Prototype-Nyx's base helmet (which was no different from Excalibur's base helmet design-wise) would occasionally reveal itself in earlier builds of the game, replacing the icon of the Menticide Helmet blueprint during extraction.
For a long time, the silhouette Chaos projected in front of affected enemies also used prototype-Nyx's helmet, rather than her current base helmet. This was eventually corrected in Update 12.4 (2014-03-05).
The Nyx Nemesis Skin further reveals the fact that Nyx was most likely based on Nemesis.
This makes Nyx the second-oldest known Warframe design.
Oddly, Nyx's default color scheme has three separate energy colors, the first being the deep blue energy seen within her Warframe such as the lights upon her helmet, the second being on minor effects within abilities and along her wrists and the last being for major power effects, a bright orange glow as seen around enemies within Mind Control.
All of these will be set to one custom color if her energy color is changed.
When using Mind Control on an enemy, the Tenno script that appears and floats around the enemy says "Obey".
Unlike most Prime gear, Nyx Prime is permanently unvaulted, with relics being obtainable through Abandoned Derelict Caches in Corpus Railjack missions.
On August 9th, 2016, it was announced that Nyx Prime, alongside Hikou Prime and Scindo Prime, would enter the Prime Vault and be retired from the reward tables on August 23rd, 2016. Any preexisting components, relics or fully-built frames will remain as is.
Nyx Prime resurfaced again together with the same line-up from July 16th, 2019 to September 3rd, 2019.
Nyx Prime resurfaced again together with the same line-up from August 12th, 2021 to November 16th, 2021 and January 11th, 2022 to February, 15th, 2022 (gap was due to Prime Resurgence).
As with any other Prime Warframe, moving close to the location of an Orokin VoidDeath Orb will restore a pulse of 250 Energy to nearby allies, even if that Death Orb is inactive, destroyed, or non-present. This effect can only occur once per orb.
Trivia
Nyx Prime was the first Prime Warframe to have two enhanced stats, at the time she received increased Armor and Sprint speed over her normal version. When Update 17.0 (2015-07-31) launched she received an additional boost in Shields.
Enemies affected by Nyx Prime's Chaos now show a Nyx Prime holding a Braton Prime instead of a regular Nyx holding a standard Braton.

Nyx expends 25energy to fully inhabit the mind of a single enemy within a range of 20 / 40 / 50 / 60 meters, stunning it for 3 seconds then forcing it to fight for the Tenno faction for 15 / 20 / 25 / 45 seconds. While controlled, the affected target is enveloped within a psychic barrier that renders it completely Invulnerable to damage from allied and enemy factions. For the next 4 seconds after activation, any damage dealt by Nyx onto the controlled target is absorbed and converted into a percentage damage bonus for the target, lasting for the ability's remaining duration. Only 1 enemy can be controlled at a time; release the target early by pressing the ability key again (default 1 ).
Percent damage bonus conversion rate is given by:
Enemy armor is ignored, as well as the target's health, armor, and shield type damage modifiers.
Damage from physical and elemental damage mods is not taken into account.
Enemy weakspots are taken into account, including the critical multiplier weakspot bonus.
Damaging procs (e.g., Slash, Heat, and Toxin) applied to the target before casting Mind Control will contribute to the damage conversion.
The damage bonus from Viral and Magnetic are not taken into account.
Unalerted enemies that are Mind Controlled will be susceptible to Stealth Damage Multipliers from melee attacks over the ability's duration.
The mind-controlled target is immune to damage from all sources, but is still susceptible to negative Status Effects. During Mind Control, all damage dealt by Nyx and her allies on the target will be stored and inflicted in full once the ability ends. Damage dealt by enemies on the target is only nullified and not stored.
The damage bonus percentage from converted damage is displayed in the HUD beside Nyx's shield and health indicators.
The mind-controlled enemy will not hinder mission progress (e.g. block Interception nodes, stall Defense waves, etc.)
If the target dies before Nyx finishes her casting animation, energy used for Mind Control will be refunded.
Mind-controlled targets will teleport to Nyx's location if she gets too far away, except those on Ramparts.
Mind-controlled targets use their abilities to the benefit of the Tenno and to the detriment of their former allies. For example:
The mines dropped by Mine Ospreys (including mines placed before the ability was used) will not hurt Nyx and her allies, but will hurt the Osprey's former allies.
Security Cameras will ignore everything and never go into the alerted state. Turrets can behave unpredictably (using Mind Control on Turrets will make them fight for Nyx, but only when a camera activates them; in other words, Turrets can deactivate if the camera is destroyed or goes into the unalerted state.)
Shield Ospreys will project shields on allies and defense objectives.
Any active Comba and Scrambus disruption auras will remain active, though subsequent auras will not affect Nyx or her allies.
Fog Comba and Scrambus disruption auras will not remove mind-control from its target but will prevent the use of the ability until the disruption wears off.
While Nullifier Crewmen can be Mind Controlled after their nullification field is disabled, they will dispel themselves upon it regenerating; the Projector Drones should therefore be destroyed.
Mind Control will not work on bosses, excecpt for Captain Vor. However, the ability still applies a short duration stun.
This is also true for Syndicate hunters and Lynx Turrets.
Some mini bosses like Acolytes can be affected, though with significantly decreased duration and due to their innate DR stored damage dealt when it ends will be reduced.
Mind Control overrides the effect of Chaos on the selected target but will not be overridden by Chaos.
Eximus enemies under Mind Control will focus their attacks on enemies instead. They will still project their damaging special auras (such as a large fire wave) but these will not damage allies over the ability's duration. In particular useful terms, Arctic Eximus will slightly slow down all other enemies in range while also providing protection for itself with its snow-globe-like shield.
When Mind Control is cast, an energy tether briefly links Nyx to her target as a visual indicator. The mind-controlled target will be marked with symbols of the Lotus for the ability's duration along with waves of energy flowing over them, affected by Nyx's chosen energy colors.
Enemies under mind control can be healed by friendly sources, to the benefit or detriment to the team:
The Rejuvenation Aura can heal enemies that are currently mind controlled.
Blessing will fully heal the mind controlled target.
Rarely, Mind Control will reverse an enemies ability to set off alarms, and if by a rare chance the enemy decides to "activate" already activated alarms, the enemy will actually turn them off (including lifting a complete lockdown into a system wide alert instead). (not sure if this happens anymore as it was already rare before)
Mind Control can be used to both neutralize powerful enemies like Heavy Gunners and Techs, and use them as temporary allies.
Leech Eximus Enemies can make powerful allies as they can both (usually) deal large amounts of damage with their extended survivability, and withstand most damage taken that is returned after the ability expires.
In Defense missions, casting Mind Control on the last enemy in a wave will buy time for the objective's shields and health to regenerate; this is more useful with improved Ability Duration.
Mind Controlling any variant of Corpus Tech that has deployed ospreys will also make the Ospreys friendly, regardless of how many it has deployed.
Bugs
Mind Controlled targets will still complete Interception objectives, and will complete them for the enemy team.
Mind Controlled targets have reduced status chance. This can be seen easily with the Napalm as it's normally 100% status fireballs rarely proc heat status effects.
Shield Ospreys spawned from Mind Controlled enemies will stay friendly when the target dies.
Nyx expends 50energy to launch 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 flying bolts of telekinetic energy toward her aiming reticle, which psychically seek out nearby enemies within her Line of Sight and 60 meters. Each psychic bolt dissipates and applies a Stagger on successful hit, temporarily removing enemy Armor and Shields by 20% / 40% / 60% / 80% and SlowingInfested by 5% / 10% / 15% / 20% for 5 / 7 / 9 / 11 seconds.
Shield strip removes a percentage of the current maximum value, as such it has diminishing returns on subsequent casts against the same enemies. Armor strip, however, is a percentage of an enemy's total.
Enemies can still gain bonus shield buffs (such as from Shield Ospreys), which are added after the shield strip value. This bonus shield buff can not be removed by Psychic Bolts.
Bolts will disappear after traveling for a few seconds if they do not strike targets.
Number of bolts in flight is shown on the ability icon. Once the bolts expire, the number on the ability icon will indicate how many enemies are currently debuffed.
Can be recast while enemies are still debuffed. Recasting will cancel the effect on previous remaining target(s).
Targeted enemies will briefly radiate energy as a visual indicator, and an audio cue will be played.
Psychic Bolts is a one-handed action. As such, it can be used while performing various maneuvers and actions without interruption.
With one player using Corrosive Projection, 100% armor strip can be achieved at 103% Ability Strength.
Psychic Bolts synergizes well with damage types that are effective against health classes (e.g. Cloned Flesh and Flesh), like Slash and/or Viral.
On the other hand, Corrosive or Magnetic, which is effective against armor/shield classes, gains less benefit from Psychic Bolts' full debuff.
A max rank Augur Secrets will put your Ability Strength at 124%, stripping defenses by 99% without removing their damage weaknesses to Corrosive, Radiation, and Magnetic.
Nyx expends 75energy to release a wave of hysteria and inflict a brief Stun and Confusion to all enemies over 15 / 20 / 22 / 25 meters, causing them to indiscriminately attack each other 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 seconds.
Will only stun Bosses and has no other effect on them.
Shield Ospreys will stop projecting shields and simply close up and fly around until the effect is over, and unaffected Shield Ospreys will not shield affected enemies.
Ancient Healers will still emit healing pulses but will not heal anything but themselves.
The auras of Eximus units will negatively impact everyone within range, ally or enemy, for the duration of the ability (for example, the aura of the Arctic Eximus will slow down anyone in range).
An illusion of Nyx wielding a Braton (or a Braton Prime in the case of Nyx Prime) is visible on affected units, reflecting how enemies perceive each other.
The illusion will reflect the alternate helmet and skin Nyx has equipped, if any.
If Chaos is cast upon a ceiling-mounted Turret or Security Camera, the illusion will be upside-down.
Unlike Mind Control, enemies affected by Chaos will target Tenno if they are too close. Likewise, cameras and drones will still be able to detect players with normal detection behaviors.
Chaos can be ended prematurely by killing all affected enemies.
Can be recast while active.
Only one instance of Chaos can be active at a given time, making enemies who are currently affected lose its effects.
Chaos Sphere is a Warframe Augment Mod for Nyx that allows Chaos to create a circular radius that affects enemies entering within its range for a fraction of its duration.
Chaos halts the damage mitigation supplied by Ancient Healers and Corrupted Ancients, allowing the Tenno to dispatch of groups protected by those units without having to deal with the Ancients first.
In Interception missions, enemies affected by Chaos will less likely to attempt to capture the towers, and even stop if they are capturing any tower. This is particularly useful when doing Interception solo or with a nonfull squad.
Bugs
If cast near an Infested Tumor, Nyx's projection will be substantially larger than it should be.
Swarm-Mutalist MOAs swarm will still aid Infested even whilst Chaos is active (Possibly intended).
Nyx absorbs all incoming damage and channels that collected energy into an explosive radial discharge. Nyx's Weapon damage is buffed based on incoming absorbed damage when the Ability ends.
Nyx enters a meditative state, becoming invulnerable and immune to all Status Effects while creating a bubble that absorbs incoming damage. The bubble accumulates 160 / 170 / 180 / 200Magnetic damage every second with a minimum damage potential of 800 / 900 / 1000 / 1500Magnetic damage; if the total amount of absorbed damage is greater than the damage threshold when Nyx leaves her meditative state, the psychic energy is released to inflict all absorbed damage and a Knockdown to every enemy in a 5 / ? / ? / 15 meter explosion that expands up to a maximum of 50 meters based on damage absorbed. Upon releasing the wave, 0.025% of the absorbed damage is converted into an additive weapon damage bonus for 8 seconds.
Absorbed damage is not converted to Magnetic damage, and retains the original damage composition.
After not receiving damage for a short amount of time, the damage counter resets. This will not reset Absorb's total accumulated damage, however.
Explosion damage bypasses obstacles in the environment and diminishes with distance.
Weapon damage bonus is capped at 400% (64,000 damage absorbed).
The invulnerability is extended to Sentinels or MOA companions, but not to Beast Companions.
Absorb costs 25energy to activate, then drains 7 / 6 / 5 / 4 energy per second. An additional 8 energy is drained for every 1000 damage that's absorbed. Absorb will end if Nyx runs out of energy, or if deactivated by pressing the ability key again (default 4 ).
Casting Absorb in the air will cause Nyx to stay suspended until the skill is deactivated.
Absorb will stop any movement achieved and negate all momentum prior to casting the skill when used in the air.
This does reset the directional melee, however, and it may be used again to regain some momentum. Used in this manner, Nyx is able to "fly" across tiles so long as she has energy to cast Absorb.
Shields are allowed to recharge freely while in the absorb state, whether Nyx is being attacked or not.
If cast while falling off a ledge, Nyx will return from her original location and release Absorb immediately.
Arcanes that require the player to receive damage to trigger (such as Arcane Agility) can trigger while under effects of Absorb.
Assimilate is a Warframe Augment Mod for Nyx that allows her to move, roll and attack while channeling Absorb and prevents friendly fire from being absorbed, at the cost of shrinking Absorb's effective radius by 50%.
Singularity is a PvE and ConclaveWarframe Augment Mod for Nyx's Absorb that creates a ring every three seconds to drag in enemies close enough to Singularity's radius.
Allies can contribute to the damage absorbed, dramatically increasing damage output.
It is not advisable to use this skill with the sentinel Shade. Shade will cloak Nyx during the Absorb period most of the time, whether the enemy is crowded around Nyx or not. As such, no damage will be absorbed as the enemy cannot see Nyx. During solo, the skill works fine still, as there are no teammates to draw enemy attention away.
Using this ability while on an Ice Trap in the void will greatly reduce energy drained.
Some user functions are still available even after Absorb is cast (thought it's not clear if this is intended functionality):
Weapon detonation can still be triggered (ex: Penta).
If knocked down or downed while casting, Nyx will be able to move and attack during the duration of the ability.
Allies that stand inside the absorb bubble are shielded from incoming ranged damage to some degree.
This can be a useful way to assist resurrecting an ally in a party of 3 or more.
During this ability, Nyx will be in mid-air suspension, instantly stopping her fall speed. This can be an advantage in correcting improper fall timing or while performing coordinated Maneuvers.
If Absorb ends in mid-air, it can often perform headshots on nearby enemies.
