Trivia

  • Oberon (also spelled Auberon) is a king of the fairies in medieval and Renaissance literature. He is best known as a character in William Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream, in which he is Consort to Titania, Queen of the Fairies.
    • Oberon also shares his name with a mission node on Uranus.
  • DE stated that Oberon abilities were based around the idea of a Paladin or Druid.
  • Compared to other Warframes, Oberon is the only one requiring two Orokin Cells and two Gallium
    • He is also one of two Warframes not to use Neural Sensors in construction (the other being Zephyr).
  • In the first concepts Oberon's Hallowed Ground ability was called Stairway to Heaven.
  • Oberon appears to share a similar physical build with Nekros, having slender arms and legs in comparison to most male Warframes.
  • Oberon is the second Warframe who has replaced a previous Warframe from a boss mission, being preceded by Valkyr replacing Volt.
  • Oberon has 2 separate idle animations for primary weapons.
  • Oberon is the name of the biggest moon in Uranus.
  • Oberon is currently the tallest frame, towering over his peers while in noble stance.
  • Oberon blueprints used to be dropped on Everest, Earth by the old model of Councillor Vay Hek, until update 13 where they are now dropped by leaders.

Smite Energy: 25 Power #: 1
Focuses deadly energy within a target and then projects it outwards, damaging both the target and surrounding enemies
Equip Cost:
0 / 1 / 2 / 3
Power Strength:
150 / 200 / 300 / 500 (initial damage)
3 / 4 / 5 / 6 (projectiles)
75 / 85 / 100 / 150 (projectile damage)
Power Range:
20 / 30 / 40 / 50 m (cast range)
5 / 7.5 / 10 / 12.5 m (projectile radius)
Power Duration:
N/A

  • Deals 150 / 200 / 300 / 500 damage to a single target in a range of 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 meters.
  • Target emits 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 bouncing projectiles.
    • Projectiles will spawn directed to any enemies within a 5 / 7.5 / 10 / 12.5 meter radius of the original target. If there are more projectiles than enemies in range, the remainder will fire in random directions.
    • Projectiles deal 75 / 85 / 100 / 150 damage, affected by Power Strength.
    • Number of projectiles is affected by Power Strength. Projectile range is affected by Power Range.

Maximization is a form of specialization: mods may be blended to result in values that vary between the top-end limits listed here. Click any maximized link to learn how to build it.

  • Maximized Power Duration has no positive effect on this ability.
    • Reduces cast range to 50 meters and projectile radius to 4.3 meters.
  • Maximized Power Efficiency reduces cost to 6.25 energy.
    • Has no negative effect on this ability.
  • Maximized Power Range has no effect on casting range due to hard cap of 50 meters. Increases projectile radius to 29.4 meters.
    • Reduces damage to 200 and projectile damage to 60. Decreases projectile count to 2.
  • Maximized Power Strength increases damage to 1145 and projectile damage to 343. Increases projectile count to 13.
    • Increases cost to 38.75 energy.

Hallowed Ground Energy: 50 Power #: 2
Sanctifies the ground before Oberon with righteous fire, inflicting damage to any enemy that stands in the flames.
Equip Cost:
4 / 5 / 6 / 7
Power Strength:
25 / 50 / 75 / 100
Power Range:
10 / 12.5 / 15 / 17.5 m (length)
5 / 6.25 / 7.5 / 8.75 m (width)
Power Duration:
10 / 15 / 17 / 20 s

  • Deals 25 / 50 / 75 / 100 damage every half second for 10 / 15 / 17 / 20 seconds. Area of effect has a 5 / 6.25 / 7.5 / 8.75 meter width, and a 10 / 12.5 / 15 / 17.5 meter length.

  • Increasing both Power Duration and Power Strength will result in 23358 total damage, while reducing length to 6 meters and width to 3 meters, and increasing the cost to 77.5 energy.
  • Can be very effective if used on stationary bosses.
  • Applying to the exits of doorways and before or after staircases, especially on mobile defense rooms, allows Oberon to be very effective.
  • Can have multiple instances of the ability on one area (overlapping) to increase damage.
  • Only use on areas you know the enemy will be for a while, or multiple enemies will pass over, 1 tick of damage is usually a waste of energy.

Maximization is a form of specialization: mods may be blended to result in values that vary between the top-end limits listed here. Click any maximized link to learn how to build it. Hallowed Ground has a special quality in which Both Power Duration and Power Strength increase total damage. See "Tips and Tricks" for True maximum damage.

  • Maximized Power Duration increases duration to 51.4 seconds (10200 total damage).
    • Reduces length to 6 meters, and reduces width to 3 meters.
  • Maximized Power Efficiency reduces cost to 12.5 energy.
    • Reduces duration to 8 seconds (1500 total damage).
  • Maximized Power Range increases length to 41.1 meters, and increases width to 20.6 meters.
    • Reduces damage to 40 each tick (1560 total damage).
  • Maximized Power Strength increases damage to 229 each tick (8931 total damage).
    • Increases cost to 77.5 energy.

Renewal Energy: 75 Power #: 3
Healing waves of energy flow outward from Oberon to his allies, regenerating health over time.
Equip Cost:
6 / 7 / 8 / 9
Power Strength:
100 / 150 / 175 / 200 (health)
Power Range:
Power Duration:
15 / 13 / 12 / 10 s

  • Regenerates 100 / 150 / 175 / 200 total health over a period of 15 / 13 / 12 / 10 seconds.
    • Healing amount is affected by Power Strength.
    • Healing time is affected inversely by Power Duration (mods increasing power duration will shorten healing time).
      • Healing time is calculated as: Final Time = Base Time / (1 + Power Duration)
    • Health recovery per second is Total Healing / Healing Duration. As such, without mods, the effect will heal 6.6 / 11.5 / 14.6 / 20 damage per second.
  • Lasts until fully healed or the maximum health gain is reached, and players with full health do not receive the healing over time. The power must be reactivated when damaged.
  • Activates on the user as well.
  • Does not stack with the same ability, instead it restarts the timer.

  • As the affects of Duration mods decreases the Healing duration of the ability, having a mod such as Fleeting Expertise can be beneficial in spite that it will make the healing slower. With it, the ability can used as a true regeneration ability without risking energy being wasted if ever it overheals the players.
    • This method also lengthens the Revival benefits of this ability.
  • Natural Talent Affects the speed of the projectiles in addition to the cast speed

Maximization is a form of specialization: mods may be blended to result in values that vary between the top-end limits listed here. Click any maximized link to learn how to build it.

  • Maximized Power Duration reduces duration to 3.9 seconds.
    • Has no negative effect on this ability.
    • Increases health gained per second to ~51.3.
  • Maximized Power Efficiency reduces cost to 18.75 energy.
    • Increases duration to 25 seconds.
      • Reduces health gained per second to 8.
  • Maximized Power Range Has no positive effect on this ability.
    • Reduces maximum health gained to 80.
    • Reduces health gained per second to 8.
  • Maximized Power Strength increases effect to 458 health.
    • Increases cost to 116.25 energy.
    • Increases health gained per second to 45.8.

Reckoning Energy: 100 Power #: 4
Quickly lifts enemies into the air and then hurls them down with conviction. Enemies who succumb to this power have a chance to spawn a Health Sphere.
Equip Cost:
10 / 11 / 12 / 13
Power Strength:
500 / 750 / 1000 / 1250
Power Range:
8 / 10 / 12 / 15 m
Power Duration:
N/A

  • Deals 500 / 750 / 1000 / 1250 damage.
  • Has a 100% ragdoll proc.
  • Has a radius of 8 / 10 / 12 / 15 meters.
  • Radius is affected by Power Range.
  • On death, enemies have a 25% / 35% / 45% / 50% chance of spawning a health orb.
  • Can hit enemies above and below you.

Bugs

  • Occasionally, if Oberon is knocked down just as Reckoning is cast, enemies will be attacked as normal without Oberon doing the skill animation. Only upon standing up from being previously knocked down does Oberon then perform the animation.

  • Using this ability with Equilibrium equipped can refund or even profit from the energy expended by this ability, as long as the number of enemies can suffice such.

Oberon is a kind of hybrid Warframe that relies on both offensive and supportive capabilities. Unlike Excalibur for example, Oberon has healing capabilities in trade of fight-flight abilities such as Slash Dash for Renewal, more so making Oberon an even more versatile frame.

Oberon has slightly more health than average frames which allows him to take more damage, and also allows him to cast Renewal on himself, allowing the extra health to give him time to cast the power.
