Notes

• Scoliac is one of the two weapons (The other being Amphis) that can most effectively perform coptering. The Melee 2.0 system introduced in U13 also enhanced "coptering" in general, causing aerial slide attacks (sprint, jump, crouch, melee) to launch players significantly farther than previously possible.  When weapon attack speed is maximized, practiced players can traverse entire tiles in one swing.

Trivia

• The Scoliac is tied with Ankyros Prime and the Amphis for highest attack speed of all melee weapons.
• The Scoliac's name may be derived from Scoliosis (derived from Ancient Greek σκολίωσις skoliosis “obliquity, bending”), a medical condition in which a person's spine is curved from side to side.
• The Scoliac was the first whip revealed, shown in Livestream 14.
• When the Infested lab was revamped, its model could be seen in a container along with the Embolist, shortly before the Scoliac was actually added into the game.
• This is the second whip to be added to the game (following the Lecta), and the third research melee weapon available (following the Prova and the Dual Ichor).
• As with the Lecta, the Scoliac trails fully extended behind the player when sheathed. *It no longer trails fully extended when sheathed*
