Before all other weapons, Tenno master the Skana. This simple blade becomes immensely powerful in the hands of a master. For Tenno, it is the foundation of their fighting style and a pillar of their culture.
The Skana is one of three starting Melee weapons available to new Tenno during the Vor's Prize tutorial prologue.
Stance slot has Script error: The function "Pol" does not exist. polarity, matches Crimson Dervish stance.
Slam attack ragdolls enemies.
Disadvantages:
Low base damage.
Low critical chance.

Notes
Prior to Update 17, the Skana was used by Tyl Regor, the final boss of Uranus.
This sword slightly resembles a katana , used by the Japanese samurai of the Medieval Age.
Of all the starter weapons available during the Vor's Prize Quest, the Skana is the only one that cannot be bought with Credits, but instead has to be built with a blueprint acquired through the market.
Trivia
The Skana was the very first Melee weapon available to new players prior to Update 14.
