Ordis is the answer

  • Ordis is the answer to the one section of the lore of Warframe, and his voilent personality is the key

"Well put together, Operator, now get out there and - cut down the - and make the Lotus proud."

It all centers around that quote that I heard about 20 minutes before posting this. The Lotus, who we now know as Natah, hacked Ordis and gave him certain things to say that made Operator realize that the Orokin were bad and when the Frames slaughtered the Orokin it was one of 2 people controlling them when they did it, 1. It was Ordis remotely controlling them or 2. It was lotus remotely controlling them. This would explain their behavior when at that final ceremony and before the Operators were put into their sleep that was the last thing the heard “NOW GET OUT THERE AND CUT DOWN THE OROKIN” Then they were put to sleep by Natah and Ordis' true behavior is the one we see most times

    • I just saw it as Ordis' other, more savage, personality breaking through again. "Good" Ordis wants to say "Now get out there and make the Lotus proud" - i.e. do your assigned mission well. "Bad" Ordis jumps in with "Now get out there and cuts down the ********" and "Good" Ordis needs to cut him off.

But, yes, it's viable that our ancient and outdated Cephalon had something to do with the Collapse.

    • @wolfie, if youve played the Natah quest line youd figure that out

    • The frames werent the one that killed the Orokin, it was the Operators that did it. The Tenno have some rather harsh things to say about the Orokin in general anyways. That rules out Ordis or the Lotus controling the frames. Remember that the Tenno likely would have been killed after the war, and the Orokin were the ones to create the Sentients to begin with. They were fairly corrupt from the core.

By the lore in Simaris's room that depicts the accepted creation by the Orokin of the silvery, adaptive to damage, capable of evolving and mutating entities that are lethaly harmed by void energy that would be sent to another solar system to build a void rail for travel there? Its the very same characteristics of the sentients, to the letter. Sentients adapt to damage, mutate to adapt to their environment, come from another solar system, are harmed by contact with void energy, and had an immediate hatred of the Orokin.

Then why are you looking at lore which is word for word exact for the description of the Sentients and you dont believe it?

The lore says nothing about the Orokin creating the Sentients, only that they were presented to their leadership by someone. That person could have easily just found the Sentient somewhere and thought it was useful. There is zero evidence one way or the other on how the Sentient was brought to the Orokin. We only know that it was presented to them by presumably a scientist or engineer, and they decided to use them for exploration purposes.

Obviously not, since the lore clearly states the orokin created the sentients, in many places. Hunhow even says it, if i remember.

The tenno killed the orokin as revenge for their treatment and the death of margulis, and likely due to the corruption in the government of the empire, possibly with some encouragement from the lotus.

The lines "Countless other ventures have failed The Plan, how will this machine fulfill its design?" informs you that this was designed for a purpose. The purpose is explained. Designed tells you that it was created. At the time of the presentation the machine was not a Sentient, it was just a machine designed to travel to the Tau system and adapt there, then build the Rail so the Orokin could travel there. Why they wished to travel there hasnt been explained, but never the less the proof you seek is right there.

Erm...You read it at http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Sentient page Especially "Sentients (or their ancestors) were originally developed as terraforming tools bound for the Tau system"

Could it just be talking about the Battalyst, Conculyst and Oculysts which are machines? Because if the Lotus is Sentient, would that mean the Orokin made her?

Battalysts, Conculysts and Oculysts are Hunhow's fragments, they are not separate enteties. War and propably Pakal also work that way, Hunhow controlls every single one of his fragments, he talks to Stalker through War, and possibly controlls him through Pakal armor (when Stalker refused to attack operator Pakal was glowing blue, in Orbiter it was glowing in the same color as War does)

If Hunhow travelled to the moon while it was in the void he couldn't reproduce anymore, thats why he only sends parts of his body that can be replaced by original Sentient

Those are just fragments of Hunhow animated by him to do his bidding, they are not machines. Hunhow and Natah are the only 2 actual sentients in the Orokin System, the rest are just Hunhow's fragments. And no, Lotus is Hunhow's child-daughter-thing, he made her.

The Ordis theory needs to be completely reconsidered and rewritten since we have a significant amount of lore for him now in-game.

    • Just a part to add to the fight about the Orokin creating the sentients

Dialogue during The Second Dream states that Ballas held the rank of Executor, and was implied to be romantically involved with Margulis. Once he discovers that Margulis was protecting the survivors of the Zariman Ten Zero (against the wishes of the Orokin), Ballas tries to convince Margulis to kill them instead, fearing that her actions would result in her execution. Margulis refuses to kill them, and is ultimately executed for her actions, much to Ballas' woe. Ballas would continue Margulis' work on Transference to develop the Warframe.

The Detron Crewman's Synthesis imprint also suggests that Ballas was involved with the creation of what would become the Sentients,

Relatively new player here and have read up on the lore as much as I can... but these sorts of amusingly violent outbursts, plus the claim that he can't remember the old war leads me to see this as a conflict in Ordis' programming between what you might think is your actual mission and something darker which you both might not fully remember.
