Mission levels?

  • What mission levels REALLY mean? I can see, let say enemy level:25-35 at Pallas.

My rank is almost 4 now. And when you start the game it tells me what is the difficulty. But i would just to know more and dig deeper those numbers. What they stands for. So if 35 level enemy is bad. How bad? Better armory? More firepower?? etc... I would want to know enemies damage and weak points. :)

    Thank you,

    TsakNorris

    • Best I can tell, higher level enemies have more:

      • Health
      • Damage Resistance
      • Damage output

    • I think it might refer to your weapon and warframe level rather than your overall profile rank.

    • My Question would be how u can do such missions because my Warframe and my main Weapons are lvl 30 and i dont know how i should kill a lvl 35 enemy with them.... I once tried to do the first eris mission and died at the first 4 enemys cause i dont do dmg to them but they got my Shield down in 3 seconds...... There are so muchs components that can be farmed there e.g. the Banshee helmet at xini or something like that. Maybe thats a more than dub questions but i dont get it.

    • It's rank, not level for your warframe and weapon but the enemies simply get harder, you can technically beat a high level map with a low level warframe, think of it as an RPG where you can defeat high level monsters with a low level character

If this is so I've kept myself parked on Mercury for way too long(frame is 17, weapons are 13/12/8)

    • I thought it might be the average rank of warframe and weapons, however I did a mission in Saturn that was 3-8 and if I average my gear 11/10/7/6 I'm 8.5 and I got downed twice so it can't be your gear, but at the same time my mastery lvl is 1 so how could I solo a lvl of 3-8 I should have got owned?? Right?

    • It indicates the level range of the enemies you'll encounter in the mission. That's it, there you go.

Higher level enemies have more health, do more damage, and usually have increased damage reduction (see the Enemy Vulnerabilities page here on the wiki)

    • how can you complete a lvl 54-56 mission and fail a lvl 13-13 mission and 15-17? it seems to be a stupid design, would be better with easy normal and hard, or something like that.

    • Lets bring order to chaos (a bit at least).

Your warframe/weapon levels only tell you how many mods you can put on them (mod points) and have no other effect on them (you won't do more damage with unmodded level 30 braton than level 0 braton).

Your mastery rank only determines if you can use specific weapons, like Acrid requires mastery rank of 7.

Your overall level/average level of weapons/warframe only effects the level of Stalker when he hunts you, nothing else.

The mission levels tell you what is the level range of the mobs you'll find there.

The mob level dictate how much HP and armor it has (read more in the Armor page).

Basically you need to know how much damage you do to mobs at each level because you are going through the map in a progression manner.

You start with lower levels at Mercury  and then explore more missions when the emenies level rise by 0-3 levels at a time.

If you find yourself in a hard spot and that you can't kill mobs than all I can tell you is that you can be:

      1. Using a weapon with the wrong damage type (see Damage types page and which damage is best against your target, than look for weapon and mods that does this kind of damage).

      2. Not using the proper mods against your enemies (fire is great for infested, electricity not so much...).

      3. May need to catalyst and/or forma your weapon/warframe (make sure that your chosen weapon is viable in end-game missions based on its damage type before you waste a catalyst/forma on it).

      4. Not taking cover when you should.

      5. All of the above.

If you would like my advice for a survivor no-so-ninja build (I soloed every mission in the game so far, including void 3) than I would recommend:

      1. Boltor as primary - as many damage mods as you can (1 catalyst and 4 formas means max damage).

      2. Despair as secondary - as many damage mods as you can (1 catalyst and 4 formas means max damage).

      3. Glaive as melee (so you can throw it using its charge attack) - focus on charge damage first than on other damage mods - again catalyst and forma when you have a chance.

      4. Frost Prime (Frost until you can get the prime) for his Snow Globe ability (max duration mods first if possible).

When you reach mastery rank of 7 I recommend switching the Despair for Acrid with the same catalyst/forma and mods build.

This is just my recommendation, there are plenty of other people that think this build is BAD.

They are also correct because it's BAD for their play-style.

I prefer survivability and damage per ammo over speed and damage per second.

    • Personally, I think Rhino is the best solo frame. He can take more hits than anyone, kill/stun entire rooms (and stun most bosses) with his Ult, can't be CC'd most of the time due to Iron Skin, offers a skill for mobility/escape, and a skill for higher damage output (and therefor higher ammo efficiancy). Forma his Aura slot for Energy Syphon. The rest comes down to what guns you're good with. My only advice is to take guns with different ranges. (ie, Hek and Lex or Vectis and Bronco, but not Hek and Bronco or Vectis and Lex.)

    • the levels listed are the level range of the faction you encounter

    • Your warframe mods and your weapons dmg is what really matters... like I can be mastery 6 and go to conclave on Pluto and start killing random mastery 11s... :/
