This game definately need's a trade ingame option. There are so much mod's that we never find , and u see ur friend hase 20 of them , and they dont have some mod's that u have.

Why not to have a simple trade option , would be much easy'er for all of us to play , and have all mod's in a nice game collection !!

What you think about this guys ?!

    • rant /

I understand the desire for a trading system, it seems natural for this type of game, but I am totally against it. Almost any trading system will ruin this game. This game already has too little longevity, and a trading system will simply lower that further. As for trading materials, low or mid level players will find themselves grinding alloy (or whatever mat is currently rare)  for high level players, which will be boring for everyone involved. Furthermore, anything that's rare  will become instantly worthless and common as people trade off the stockpiles they already have laying around.

If trading is implemented farmers would spring up instantly as there's just not that much to do in this game, almost everything would become worthless, everyone will increase their power level instantly, and the game would become a lot less fun with the current grouping system as every run would be accomanied by a zerger/farmer doing their own thing.

      /rant

Ok, all that said, it is possible to make a viable trade system; it's just going to be very, very tricky. A couple more chase items and mods should be introduced, the alert system re-worked, drop rates changed, etc. The devs seem to know what their doing, but they'll be feeling pressure to introduce a trading system, and there's a chance it'll blow up.

    • I agree with "rant" guy although I don't consider it a rant at all. It's actually a nightmare. Mind you, I would LOVE to finish up all the frames that I am missing parts to but if I could just go to a trading channel (because region chat is FULL of retards, spammers, and trolls who just post in chat and dont even play the game) and trade/buy what I need, thats about 2-25 runs I am missing out on. 2-25 runs of exp, loot, mods, and money that I am missing out on because I simply asked a guy that got lucky and didn't want to make a rhino or already has one. That, naturally, will be the end of warframe if we don't get more galaxies ( PLURAL because if trading is enabled, we're gonna need like 3 more AT LEAST). More story missions (different from the repetitive stuff we have now) to keep us "story gamers" entertained and indulged. Either way, if it happens, we need to be out of beta stage and into full finished product mode. This game needs to be DONE with only minor updates to keep it running and bigger updates for more content. Trading will make the, current, small world of Warframe that much smaller.

    • I'm surprised no one got this down yet, but I think that a trading system would ruin Warframe's economy, because: Spam a lot of accounts, trade your stuff to it, boom no need to buy platinum for warframe slots/anything at all, just spam accounts for more space

Of course dude the trade option should be only available to trade with your friends , in your ingame contacts of your account , nobodey talked about that all posible player can asking u there for trade. But i'm sure if that happens ( The trade option ) there will be a nice place like a forum tread , where poeples will give some stuff that they don't need for anything what they need , so we can meet , trade , and say good bye again :)

I'm sure they will find a nice way to do that , and about your word's ( Nobodey will buy anything more slots tec ) slot can't be using as an trade , you have to buy slot's for weapons if you need more , the trade option should be available only for the Mod , incl if posible the Blueprint's too , so that the foundry of us, will go a bit easyer.

    • Pretty simple solution would be anything that can be bought for platinum can not be traded.

    • I think trading could be done within certain limits.

      1. 1. I think it should be locked to above a certain account level.  By this i mean, have it locked like some weapons are.  Make the player reach level 4 or 5 before they can trade.  Or even limit the type of trading they can do by their level.  Say mats at level 4, mods at level 5, artifacts at level 10... or what-have-you.  This would keep with what the developers were saying that they didnt want to ruin the fun for new players by letting them just be handed stuff, but let longer-term players trade for things they really want.
      1. 2.  I like the idea that trading can only be done within a clan.  This limits the pool of players one can trade with and cuts down radicaly on the farming.  For example, farmers would have to join your clan to trade with you... or you would have to join them.  While allowed, it adds a step to keep them out of normal way.
      1. 3. Put in a trade limit... for example, can only make so many trades per day/week. This would prevent "warehousing" stuff and cashing in on the item of the day.

      Just my 2-c  Thanks everyone.

    • I can understand how trading can make a game go to hell or take away from it, but being able to at least trade with those you've added as contact/friends should be allowed.  If not, whats the point of inviting friends along or going with friends to help with grinding something, if they get what ya need and can't use it themselves and just sell it cause they can't "actually"  in any way.

Basing trading of certain types of items based off a level of account, is imo, a horrible idea.  New players are not going to just spend that much time trying to raise their account level to be able to have a very limitied trading.  Just the thought actually puts a bad thought about the path of the game with me.  As I would agree to just trading with friends only, I mean you either have spent enough time with this person you met in game or a RL friend that you invited to come play along, it should be your choice to trade with them or not, unless you really like just going at it 99% alone with no real social interation.

    • I would like a Trading System but a bit off the idea contributet till now (i hope my english isn´t to rusty xD)

So I agree with the mod trading with friends only and only friends you have about at least 10 hours played togerther or so cause otherwise many players would go to the forum ask for certain mods add as friend trade and part and farming mods is one of the fun parts in this game the only annoying one is i got about 20 times rifle multishot till now and my friend i´m doing this game togehter over 30 times shotgun multishot so it would be nice to trade em once cause we farmed these maps so hard but never got em.

To a blureprint or weapon trade system i would clearly say NO cause its also one of the fun parts of the game to farm em we did it with our accounts in about 3 weeks both accounts all warframes and weapons (without dojo ones we are slow at building up our dojo with 2 people xD) and now we have fun leveling them up and after all are 30 to decide which we will polarize.

But there is one thing i would add to a trade system a addition to the market place. Cause at the moment i have all weapons all frames all sentinels i don´t have ANY place to spend my money on and have already about 5 million. but i´m missing a lot of materials for the dojo especially rubedo i´m not sure but we are farming it like hell but not getting anything big. So i would support a NPC trade system like 100 Ferrit for 1600 credits to buy  and 400 to sell (25% of the buying price or so) and rubedo like 100 for 2000-3000 credits or more and things like gallium neurodes or so 1 for 10000 cause at the lategame you get to much credts but to less materials it would make a good balance between these points (i think)and so there won´t be to much farming or exploit runs cause you don´t get a clear advantage of farming only materials leaving the map and restarting.

In addition it would help little clans with building their dojos without taking the fun of the game by farming the same map again and again and again and. ...... you know what i mean xD

the only thing i would agree on a aditional market would be colours cause i know some guys around here (i showed em the game but they don´t have ANY money thats the reason they are playing it but they want like the classic strong coulours or storm colours. So thats pherhaps a point i would agree wit a trading system something you can only get through platin . So some people will buy these shemes and trade for credits or something and they can then buy new materials for them and DE isn´t loosing any money cause others are buying it (like pherhaps me i´m a founder and farmed every frame and weapon so i have a lot of extra platinum i just needed it for extra slots and a few orokin reactors/accelerators (the last missing ones i will farm i just needed these to get a better start up ) so i have about 1500 platinum for waste.

So long story short under certain conditions trading system would be awesome but to sloppy rules and restrictions would destroy the game cause you get everything in a few days DE won´t make any money and every player would loose interest cause he already achieved everything

    • Some games i played certain items could not be traded maybe only allow weapons or mods to be traded or something along them lines

TF2 didn't get ruined by the trade system, it's always been there & is one of the most popular F2P FPS? I think a trading system would ruin this game. It wouldn't seperate those who have worked hard for something powerful and those who were simply just given it because the other person had a duplicate. I like being able to see my statistics at the end of a match just to see where I excel at and fail at. If there's one thing i also know about trading in games, it's this one thing; bots. Botting in this game is simply wasteful, so doing it is pointless. However, with a trading/market system, mod botters would inflate tremendously. I definitely don't want to see such a wonderfully designed game go down the drain because of a simple and small add-on due to community requests. Though, i can also see the up-side to a trade system, but I like it the way it is now. Work hard for what you want and when you finally do get it, you'll flip out.

If they were to add it however, it should have a restriction on what can be traded. Perhaps only materials can be traded ( Rubedo, Ferrite, Alloy Plate ). Enabling the ability to gain access to any Warframe blueprint piece may just ruin the whole process of getting the pieces. This is just my opinion though lol.

    • im going to right out call it as i see it. half of you must be a bunch of masochist nerd raging basement dweller. trading will ruin the game? ill miss out on 25 runs? this is a game. people play games to have fun. if you find running the same level repeatedly 100 times for a rare drop fun you are no better than a rat in a skinner box. it is cheaper to trick you into running the same content 10 times then to develope 10 extra levels.. there is a certain level of psychological manipulation involved in these types of games, and if you you think people need to "earn" drops you are actually an idiot.

the only point i am willing to concede in this area is that a completely unrestricted economy will invite gold farmer 3rd party attention that would directly impact the devs income which in turn inpacts the quality of the game

        Loading editor
    • trading needs to happen...    but limited to clan is a really good idea.   No-one likes a farmer.

Also, no trading of platinum. Being able to trade platinum would just mean people starting multiple accounts and hence the idea of "freemium" goes out the window.

Only other thing i am feeling is missing in Warframe is a richer storyline.  Not quite sure why i am battling through the solar system aside from to kick ass and get gear...

        Loading editor
    • As stated many many times up there (I lost count), trading should have nothing to do with platinum.

Basically, everything that is buy-able with platinum, should not be tradable. The first problem comes on when high level player can trade top-tier platinum-exclusive stuff to low level/alt account. And mastery rank is not sophisticated enough to limit certain items.

Side note, there's no fun playing if there's no effort given.

But oh, that's not my problem, I carry on my merry way with daily Gorgon blueprint prizes.

        Loading editor
    • I like the idea of a trade system, but it would need a lot of restrictions. For instance, like half the people above me said, you can only trade mats and mods. You should also not be able to trade stuff you bought with platnuim. You should only be able to trade x amount of times per day/week. You could also have to be mastery lv 2 or something like that before you can start trading.Trading should be clan ONLY. This is just my cup of tea on the idea, feel free to agree or disagree with me.

        Loading editor

    • I feel as thought the simplest way to implement a trading system would be to only allow you to trade an item to those who were present at the time of drop. It limits people from overstepping bounds while still allowing people to run together without worrying about picking up an item intended for a specific party member.

        Loading editor
    • Trading should be restricted by Mastery Rank. Basically, you can't trade someone a weapon that they can't get due to Mastery Rank being too low. Trading should be locked until rank 3 or 4. Warframes can't be traded. Platinum only items can't be traded. Event exclusives like SniperV can't be traded. Maybe also a system to tell you if you're being ripped off such as an item grading system or even a system where you can only trade stuff of similar value. Progressive trading system where they types of items you can trade (e.g. common resources to uncommon to rare to mods to auras) are determined by Mastery.

        Loading editor
    • I agree with some of that XSharkNinja, like locking until a rank. I think it should be unlocked at rank 2 though personally. And all items should be tradable in my opinion and an override toggle for the rip off system. What if your opinion on the item's worth is lower than that of the game's?

        Loading editor
    • It would be quick and simple if they made it so only reources and components could be traded, yeah farmers would spring up, but the blueprints would still be worth something along with exclusive items and warframes but what I would also like to see is a way to trade platinum, with the restrictions being both partys have to have bought platinum at some point, so people won't make a million accounts to farm platinum. So yeah.

        Loading editor
    • if there will be an in game trading why not up it into in game market and to be fair to everyone set fixed prices based on the platinum to credits ratio that is allready establised

Meh that's not a good solution, then a huge majority of players who don't spend money on this game are dead in the water while everyone else gets to trade freely.

    • I really don't want them to add trading. Really, really not.

Do you want to see the chat spammed with:

GO TO W.W.W...W.A.R.F.R.A.M.E.C.R.E.D.S...C.O.M.. FOR CREDITS! 1 MIL CREDITS FOR 4 EURO/5 DOLLAR, 2 MIL CREDITS FOR 6 EURO/ 7 DOLLARS!!!

I know I most definitely don't want to see that... Even if they put countermeasures in like chat cooldown, it would just be punishing everyone for putting in a function that's not even necessary. Everything is easy to get, and aside from void items, you can get every drop pretty easily in less than 20 runs. Maybe 40-50 if you have some serious bad luck.

Mods are harder to get, but do you really want every single mod out there before you even finished the map? It just makes the game go boring faster...

As a final note, not once in this game have I thought: "I wish there was trading". And there are still plenty of mods I need after completing 75% of the map. I'm enjoying myself picking up every mod in anticipation, and if you already have everything, there's no thrill in that anymore.

        Loading editor
    • I think they should make a stronger boss a harder boss to kill that drops the rare mods, RARE mods should be based on the difficulty of the mission. Orelse like rare mods has low drop rates and the only way to get them is to keep running the same mission again and again, which is despressing boring. And they should put only a certain amount of mastery levels can access these bosses, so people with low level won't get the rare mod straight away. And making the mod into a common mod, also adding some useful of mastery rank to the game.

        Loading editor
    • I think there should be a trading system for mods and maybe resources. But if they allow us to trade bp's such as warframe parts, it takes away the whole point of having to go through the struggle of building that one warframe you want. And the joy and feeling of succes when you finally do. You have to earn your warframe, not have someone give it to you.

        Loading editor
    • ANY form of trade would completely destroy this game! its all about the struggle..... PLEASE dont add this option

    • I agree it would destroy the game. I never struggled getting anything in Warframe you play it just comes if you want something particular you check the wiki on where is the best to find it and you go get it. Plus they added ressources to the market buyable with platinum if you don't want to farm.Rare mods are rare mods they aren't meant to be owned all by someone who didn't spend time on it. That would give warframe a different taste to me and I'm pretty sur I won't like it .

I don't think this would change anything then everyone would just rush mastery to then go trade platinum for good mods and farmers begin and unofficial markets and all of this ....Personally I just play and I'm not trying to up mastering as fast as I can I love playing with my lv max weapons and good mods and just go for hard missions without getting any mastering point for it. I'm lv 5 and I already got all the rare mods some several times I played most of the event and got some rewards. I just don't see any use in a trading system.

This system, along with the upcoming armor damage overhaul, will allow the more inexperienced players and soloist into the higher level missions where teamwork is nearly required. In the end, it could devalue the team aspect (the main aspect) of Warframe.

On a side note, it would also turn the region chats into "CAN some1 pls GIVE ME ____ mod? I REaLly NEED it!!!!"

Wtf is wrong with you guys ? none of you ever played a real MMO? • IMO I think the trading system is a good idea, but I think it would be good to limit it to only being able to trade materials and resources. That way, game play and farming wont be entirly ruined for the new players. I also think that limiting the trade system to people in a clan will ruin the experience as well for the people that have decently sized clans with their dojos built. By this I mean people with these clans have a nice sized dojo that took a long time to build and all the forma it had cost and now have to leave it just to find good people to trade with.

For example, lets say you have a clan with somewhere around 10 - 50 members and your dojo is looking pretty nice with all the rooms you wanted and after all the farming and forma it had cost you, now the trading system is in place and the only people you can trade with is people in your clan. You might think "Awsome, we can trade with each other!" but take a look at your clan and than take a look at another much bigger clan than yours. That clan has many traders that have spent some time on the game with good things to sell and it looks tempting to join that clan. Before you do anything take a look at what you had done in your own clan... You have spent all this time gathering mats, resources, credits, plat (if you used any to rush rooms, not sure why you would) and forma with everyone in your clan and now your thinking about leaving it all behind just to trade with these people in another clan. Leaving your own clan will not restore your stuff that you put into each room of the dojo back to your foundry. Now a cross road comes up, do you leave everyone and everything in the clan behind just to go to another clan because that clan has more traders and can't look back or do you stay and try to get people to join and hope they are decent traders (you will more likely have more luck recruiting new people with little or no trading skills, not saying that they wont become great traders but still...).

So im just hoping that we get a trading system that lets you trade with friends as well, less frustration and decision making.

If not, like some other people said, the game is not worth playing anymore since with valuable mods and equips flying all around the game like its worth nothing. In some sense, warframe is like single player rpg-fps game, where you have to farm everything but in multiplayer-coop mode. I like it like this. In fact, if anyone can get any stuff they want by trading(purchasing), I'm gonna quit :( like yu-gi-oh cards u know? Awesome card effect but everyone has it, not unique, no point continuing.

    • I think it would be great to only have a trading system within clans and people you've added. That way, hopefully, people will have more of a "Hey, you're my friend, let me give you this, because you're my friend" system. Materials shouldn't be traded, as we get them from the fun in missions anyways. Instead blueprints and components could be traded, or "shared", as some may have an excess of blueprints they don't want, or they may have friends that want that certain blueprint.

The only problem I have about trading systems is that it'll get very annoying, and I can only hope that the community has the decency of still trying to get blueprints themselves, rather than relying on others to do it for them. Of course, people who ARE fortunate enough to own an excess of blueprints should have the generosity to give it out to their friends.

im going to right out call it as i see it. half of you must be a bunch of masochist nerd raging basement dweller. trading will ruin the game? ill miss out on 25 runs? this is a game. people play games to have fun. if you find running the same level repeatedly 100 times for a rare drop fun you are no better than a rat in a skinner box. it is cheaper to trick you into running the same content 10 times then to develope 10 extra levels.. there is a certain level of psychological manipulation involved in these types of games, and if you you think people need to "earn" drops you are actually an idiot.

the only point i am willing to concede in this area is that a completely unrestricted economy will invite gold farmer 3rd party attention that would directly impact the devs income which in turn inpacts the quality of the game

      best argument ever

That's all well and good except I have actual friends, and they don't have as much time as I do to waste on this buggy beta. So, to keep them up to speed, I would like to share items I get with said friends. Or better yet, if I could share my GODDAMN PLATINUM... I mean seriously, why can't I buy platinum for a friend? Just shut up and take my money DE, shit.

That was their previous idea but they've changed it since then. See here:

Work has started on the trade system! I think we have a good solution for this. It will start off small and expand as we measure how the community reacts to it. Clans will be required to create a trading post in their dojo in order to trade. Trades will be like for like, meaning rare items for rare items. Currently trading is locked to Mods, plus weapon and Warframe parts. Blueprints and crafting materials are being considered for addition to the system but may not be in version 1. We are also considering putting a daily limit on the number of trades that can be completed. More details coming as this gets implemented and tested. I think the current plan is to roll this out in Update 11 (this may change!)

    • This should be like this

Mods trade: Common to uncommon ---- Free or pay credits

Rare. corrupted or nightmare ---- kinda expensive to trade (credits)

Materials: More quatity = more credits

Warframes:  idk maybe platinum or really freaking expensive to trade

    • you should need a minimum lvl of 5~7 so there no spammers and you can`t  "cheat" you throw the game

    • It's only components, blueprints and mods. rarity for rarity trade. There is a fee for trading.

Other than that, the rules for this system are already set out..

Pretty simple solution would be anything that can be bought for platinum can not be traded.

Ok, there's one HUGE hole in that proposal. Everything can be bought for platinum. So basically you're saying we can't trade. For me, I'm all for it, but I'd love for it to start out as in-between clan members, see how that works, and if it works well, step it up a level to be in between clan trades, and if that works, try doing global. Introduce it to the community, and not make it be a bitchslap to all of you who don't want to be scammed.

It's there in the list with all the other decortaion options. I had a look less than an hour after update 11 this morning.  I've not built one yet but will get one started this evening.

    • Look under "recent" under all mods. Otherwise, make a support ticket

    • Nop besides trading ruin the longeivity or i can say the life span of the game.Enables trading could be a very vital mistakes to all of users in warframe. It encourages hackers. If trading is possible and be much easier, hackers will target high lvl accounts or 'wealthy' account, steal their rare modes and may steal their platinium by issuing a false trade with the hacker alternative accounts.Besides these, trading could lead to scamming and other illegals doing. The adminstrator of warframe or the gm won't do much about it because they can't be 24/7 to pay attention to our reports and our complaints.

The dropping of modes, materials, and blueprint for all of the user is equal during the game.Meaning that nobody is going to rush and steal the modes, material and blueprint because all of them is equivalent and there is a justice of distribution. For that, trading is not necessary.

Other than that, trading may lead to those new players who is rich in terms of plantinium can own everthing in the game by just using plantinium. Thus, this leads to discouragement of current and long time playing users from playing warframes as money owns everything in it.They wont have to spend their time to hunt rare modes or enjoying playing the games. They will just pump in money and own the game. This will lead to unsastifacotry to a lot of players that supported the game by far.
