Shield Polarize

  • I've noticed that after using shield polarize on an enemy, the surrounding units also take damage to their shields or health if they have no shield. I assume it's because of a minor explosion caused by the shield being tampered with, but that information is not on the abilities section, I also don't know whether Stretch and Focus affect the explosion damage. Since I don't have fully powered mods of either of these, I was hoping someone could test it out before I edit the page with the new information. Also, there's a description on Mag's page that still lists Stretch as Reach, that should be changed.

    • I've noticed it too. I try this ability on corpus crewman, who was shielded by shield osprey. Result was pretty unexpected - everyone who was shielded by osprey (except targeted crewman) plus osprey itself were destroyed.

      I tried this but it didnt work as mentioned... Might depend on what level the ability is, or what mods you're using?

    • I can confirm using it on a crewman shielded by a shield osprey turns the osprey into a living bomb.

      However you have to target multiple crewmen in higher level missions in order to explode it on later levels.

      Tested out with a maxed out Shield Polarized. Sad it doesn't instant kill the Osprey in Pluto.


      Note: You have to targete the crewman targeted by the shield osprey for this to work. Also the explosion damage feels like it's a set amount? Needs further testing.

    • OMG, Why can't devs just tell us how these (and other) abilities (and mods) work (with numbers)? I guess they have to know that better. Why does community have to test each ability, mod and weapon to know their efficiency?

      I have already contacted DERebecca (before U8) with the question, if we might get official Datasheets on the warframes. Her answer was "Perhaps some time in the future".

    • I'll still need to rank it up, but the first rank seems to always be 10% shield gain/loss.  Considering how other skills ramp up in rank, I would assume roughly 10/30/50/70% or 10/35/60/85% shield recover/drain with drastically improved range at each rank.
