Last night, I spent about an hour thinking about a new Warframe, this one is the Ranger. He specializes in silent and long range weaponry, and his skills are based on stealth, assassination, and overall control of the battlefield.
His appearance: Default colours are a dark grey, black, and a saturated green. He has a cloak that you can buy from the market for 50 Plat, as a Warframe-exclusive accessory like Nekros' and Valkyr's items. It goes down to his feet and is lightly decorated. He is thin, like Nekros. Average-short height. Not as many glowy energy parts as other Warframes. Kneecaps and elbows have spike-like upward-facing armour plates. He also has glove-like gauntlets that go nearly up to his elbows.
Now that you have a general idea of what he looks like in your head, I shall go over his stats: Same speed - maybe a tiny bit higher - as Loki, low health and medium shield with light armour. Medium-high energy. Possible numbers: 60 Health. 125 Shield. 20 Armour. 125 Energy.
Now, onto his skills, the things you've all been waiting for:
1. Harpoon (Or some other cooler-sounding name. :P)
He fires either a heavy bolt from his weapon or a heavy knife by hand that will drag him to terrain, or drag enemies to him. Damage with Bow: 100/200/400/555 Damage with Sniper: 150/225/425/585 Damage with Knife: 50/125/350/415
If he has a bow equipped, he loads a very heavy harpoon-like arrow into his bow and fires it in the direction of the cursor (The default loading time is 2 seconds). The bolt travels a medium distance before being affected by gravity (Distance affected by Power Range), and if he hits an enemy, they take heavy armour-piercing damage (Damage affected by Power Strength) and get dragged to Medniek. If it hits terrain, he gets dragged towards it, not unlike Ripline. If he has a sniper equipped, he will load another very heavy bolt into it (Default loading time is 3.5 seconds), then he will fire in the direction of the cursor. This time, it will travel a medium-long range (Affected by Power Range) before being affected by gravity. Same effects occur when it hits an enemy/terrain, but this time, it will deal mostly impact damage (Damage affected by Power Strength). If not equipping either sniper or bow, he will simply throw a heavy knife that travels a short distance (Affected by Power Range) before being affected by gravity, dealing mostly slash damage (Affected by Power Strength). All projectiles have a rope-like cable attached to them. Energy cost: 20
2. Volley (Or some other cooler-sounding name.)
He fires multiple projectiles depending on his weapon. Damage (per projectile with bow): 75/100/200/400, (per projectile with other) 50/100/175/225
If he has a bow equipped, he loads 3-7 arrows (Depending on Mod Level) and fires them in a V-shaped cone (Angle of arrows is affected by Power Range). Each arrow pierces an enemy once before getting stuck inside something. They all deal armour-piercing damage (Again affected by Power Strength) and travel in a slight arc. If he has any secondary throwing weapon (Kunai, Despair, etc) he will throw 6-10 kunai/etc (Depending on Mod Level) in a wide cone (Angle of projectiles affected by Power Range), these deal damage depending on the secondary, if using Despair then they deal armour-piercing damage (Affected by Power Strength), but they do not pierce enemies. If not having either equipped, he will simply throw 4-8 knives having same properties as the kunai/etc projectiles. Energy cost: 50
3. Dissipate
Medniek dissapears from sight for 6-9.5 seconds (Affected by Power Duration), being unable to be targeted by enemies for the duration and dealing crits with all weapons. His movement speed is increased by 20-40% (Affected by Power Strength). Cooldown: 30/20/12.5 seconds (Affected by mod level). Energy cost: 75/80/95 (Affected by mod level)
4. Hunter's Call
Medniek goes into a state of intensely extreme focus, instantly going into the Agile movement set if not equipped, and gets a large variety of buffs for 15-25 seconds (Depending on Power Duration). Cooldown: 3/3.5/4 minutes. Energy cost: 150/225/325.
If he has a bow equipped: 150/200/400% increased damage, 150/175/200% increased arrow flight speed, 125/150/200% increased fire rate and reload speed, 200/250/300% increased movement speed, 10/25/35% bonus crit chance, 10/20/30% damage resistance, 1/2/4% max ammo regen. ("HOLY SHIT HE'S SO OP" no he isn't, it has 150/225/325 Energy cost and a cooldown of 3/3.5/4 minutes.) If he has a sniper equipped: 200/300/500% increased damage, 150/300/600% reduced recoil, 125/175/225% increased fire rate, 175/250/325% increased reload speed, 10/25/35% bonus crit chance, 5/10/15% damage reduction, 1/2/4% max ammo regen. Any other weapon: 125/175/200% increased melee damage, 150/200/250% increased melee speed, 200/300/400% increased charge damage, 20/35/50% bonus parry chance, 5/15/25% damage reduction. I know what you're thinking: How dafuq do you use this when you start off with 125 energy? Answer: Level. Upgrade Energy.
Well, I suppose that's all I have to cover. If you read the whole thing, gratz to you, because I understand that I wrote a lot. I wanted to go over most of the details. Please leave feedback on the entire Warframe and not just his 4. I wanted to make him focused on the bow and sniper, as you might see, but he works just fine (if a little worse) without one.
