Twilight053 has been doing rigorous tests on weapon Noise Level, finally gathering relative data that we can now use to label the noise level on said weapons. For example, it has been determined that the Seer has a noise level of a whopping 50m. what does this mean? the number used to illustrate the noise level is associated with how close an enemy must be in order to perceive you firing the weapon and become alerted. So with the seer in this example, the enemy has to be within 50 meters in order to hear you using the weapon.
Remember that noise level has nothing to do with how loud the weapon sounds to you in the game.
That said, that brings me to the poll issue of this blog. Becauseof an enemy hearing you from farther away, it was considered to simply add it into the disadvantages section of the weapon. which makes perfect sense, but first we need to hear you opinions on the matter in two separate little polls here. we need to determine if weapon noise should be considered a disadvantage, the same as silent weapons are an advantage, or to just leave them there in the infoboxes for your reference or talked about in the notes section.
Secondly, an optional poll to determine what you think is a disadvantage, that is, what distance does the enemy have to be at for it to be considered unbeneficial? Remember, this means the higher the number, the farther away the enemy is able to hear you, so choose the lowest number you think is appropriate. Please vote below.
judging by the above poll, 40m+ can now be considered a disadvantage. Going by that, what should be listed as an Advantage? Silent weapons have been and always will be an advantage, so that is not included int he poll. 30+ has been removed to leave a gap for "average" noise levels on weapons that will not be listed as an advantage or disadvantage.
